Tech Fund Presentation

Dear Georgia Tech Season Ticket Holder,

The Georgia Tech Athletic Association Board of Directors has endorsed a new seat donation program to begin in 2007. This new program establishes a contribution plan we call the TECH Fund. It establishes annual per-seat donation levels for priority seat locations within Bobby Dodd Stadium and Alexander Memorial Coliseum.

The cornerstone of our new program is the release of any obligation to the A-T relative to the purchase of football and men's basketball tickets. You will no longer have a donation to the Alexander-Tharpe at a set level. Rather, the TECH Fund, with donations based on seat location, will become your annual, tax-deductible contribution to Georgia Tech athletics.

We understand this represents a major change for our loyal fan base. However, as you will find throughout this document, it is a critical part of our long term strategy for excellence.

Our goal is two-fold: Create financial stability for Georgia Tech athletics and thus achieve excellence in the programs and services we offer. This type of seat donation program is not unique in intercollegiate athletics and it is necessary for Georgia Tech to remain competitive at the highest level.

As we assess the challenges that lie ahead in the next decade and beyond - achieving and sustaining a highly competitive athletics program within the new Atlantic Coast Conference - we realize the need for a new comprehensive fiscal game plan. There are four areas of focus we will initially target to meet our objectives. In addition to our commitment to the efficient and responsible operation of Georgia Tech athletics and the implementation of the TECH Fund, we will also address our Institutional support and the contribution from student fees. This website focuses on the TECH Fund.

This is a new and important era for Georgia Tech athletics. It is my hope that you will take great pride and ownership in the athletic and academic success of our student-athletes for many years to come. I thank you for your past support and for your continuing commitment to our great athletic tradition and future.

Sincerely,

Dan Radakovich
