Hannah Krimm Named All-American At NCAA Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Sophomore Hannah Krimm became Georgia Tech's first female diving All-American as she received the award for her seventh-place finish on the three-meter springboard at this past weekend's NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships at Ohio State. In addition, senior Stephanie England garnered honorable mention All-American accolades for her top 16 finish on the platform and three-meter, while Krimm received honorable mention recognition on the one-meter board.
"Both Stephanie and Hannah worked extremely hard all year and I am so proud for them that they received this recognition," head diving Coach John Ames said. "Going up against some of the top divers in the nation they each had some excellent dives. For Stephanie, this is a great way for her to end an excellent Georgia Tech career. Hannah now has something to build on for next year and beyond. The sky is the limit."
Georgia Tech finished 30th at the NCAA Championships, its highest finish ever. The two divers accounted for all of the 21 points that the Jackets earned.
On Thursday's one-meter event, Krimm earned Tech two team points with her 15th-place finish. She scored a 273.05 in prelims and then 267.15 in finals. Friday's three-meter event was where Krimm got the Jackets 12 points as she placed seventh with a score of 324.65 in prelims and then 328.75 during the finals session. Also on the three-meter, England received two points for her 15th-place finish (299.35, 298.45).
Finally on Saturday's platform event, England scored the Yellow Jackets five points as she placed 12th. England tallied a score of 260.65 in prelims and then 251.80 in finals.
