Women's Swimming Records Highest Finish In School History At NCAA Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Senior Stephanie England placed 12th in the platform diving event at the NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships Saturday night at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion on the campus of Ohio State University. England scored 260.65 points in prelims and then 251.80 points in the finals session.

Overall, this was a good experience for us," head coach Stu Wilson said. "I am very proud of this entire team. To record the best finish in school history is a testament to the whole team and how hard everyone worked this season. The divers did a great job this weekend and I am looking forward to improving on this next season."

The Jackets scored 21 points, good for 30th place. It marked the best finish in school history. The University of Arizona won the meet with 484 team points during the three-day competition. Auburn (348) finished second and Stanford (343) finished third.

Sophomore Agatha Kwasnik competed in the 200-free and swam a 49.96 time in the prelims. Senior Elizabeth Stowe also swam the mile and recorded a time of 16:33.77, good for 28th place.
